What we sell
Mostly magazine covers — the full-color cover paintings that competed for the American newsstand from the 1890s into the 1920s. Titles like Vogue, Saturday Evening Post, Life, Puck, Judge, Collier’s, Ladies’ Home Journal, Harper’s Weekly, and dozens of smaller weeklies and monthlies.
Alongside the covers we also publish a smaller selection of dated ephemera from the same window: illustrated postcards, color advertising plates, holiday cards, and illustration plates that share the era’s craftsmanship.
The illustrators
This was the era of Norman Rockwell, J.C. Leyendecker, Coles Phillips, Maxfield Parrish, Harrison Fisher, Howard Chandler Christy, John Held Jr., and dozens of working artists who defined the look of American printed paper for forty years. The covers we sell are theirs.
The date match
We organise everything by issue date so you can find a print from a specific birthday, anniversary, or family milestone. Magazines in this era were weekly or monthly, so we match on the calendar month — sometimes the exact week. A cover from July 1907 is a perfect July birthday gift, even when the recipient was born on July 14 and the issue is dated July 6.

What we don’t do
- No AI-generated images. Every cover is a scan of a real piece of paper that lived through your great-grandparents’ kitchen.
- No fabricated dates. The date on the product page is the date printed on the issue.
- No reproductions of in-copyright work. We stay inside the 1885–1928 U.S. public-domain window.
