Are these real historical newspapers?
Yes. Every page is a scanned image of a real newspaper that printed between 1885 and 1928. They are sourced from the Library of Congress Chronicling America collection. Nothing is AI-generated or designed to look old.
Does the date match the year my person was born?
We match the calendar date — month and day — not the exact birth year. A front page from July 4, 1910 is a real July 4 front page, even if the recipient was born in 1962. This is intentional: it keeps every page a true 100+ year-old historical artifact.
What’s included when I buy?
One ZIP download containing six print-ready JPG files (two finishes × three sizes: 8×10, 11×14, 16×20) and a one-page printing guide PDF. Print-ready means 300 DPI, color-corrected for matte / fine-art paper.
What’s the difference between “Pure” and “Heirloom”?
Pure keeps the original paper texture and warm tone — closest to the way the page looked the morning it was sold. Heirloom is slightly smoother and sharper, made to read well from across a room when framed. Both versions ship in every purchase.
How do I print it?
See our Print Guide. Short version: use matte or fine-art paper at 100% scale through any home printer or local print shop.
How quickly do I get the download?
Immediately. The download link is on your order confirmation page and emailed to you within seconds of payment.
Can I share the file with my family?
For personal and family use, yes — print it for relatives, give a copy to a parent, hang one in your own home. Please don’t resell or redistribute commercially.
